Performer's updated CV

A CV is one of the most key pieces of material that a performer can have. Having access to your CV at all times is important as it displays ALL of your previous work and clearly shows employees what your skills are and how much experience you have in different genres.
It is also a chance for you to display your educational achievements as these are never over looked.

Performance skills audit

Performance skills
Level of competence
Where and how I have developed this?
Acting: Projection
Green
I have become more confident over the past two years; college has really taught me that no matter what is happening on stage, that projecting with your vocals will always make your overall performance a lot better.
Acting: Voice/Accent
Green
I feel as though I am good at portraying different characters through changing my voice and putting on accents.
Acting: Body Language
Green
The way you hold yourself when performing as a character, is an important part of the characterisation process. I feel as though my body language is strong and I always spend time researching into my character and how they would be feeling eg standing, in every scene.
Acting: Use of proxemics/space
AmberI am good at using the space effectively during a performance as I feel as though I am always confident about the movements I make, whether it be in a dance lesson or in a performance.
Acting: Facial Expressions
GREENFacial expressions and adapting them to suit the character I am playing/ the mood of the piece, is one of my strongest skills overall. I am always picked up on how strong my expressions are; I am fully confident with this and feel as though it is one of my strongest points.
Acting: Learning Lines AmberIf I pace myself out when learning lines, then I learn them solidly and they stay in my brain. If I have to learn lines in a short period of time, this is when I struggle. I will have to work on learning texts quickly to bring this up to a green.
Singing: Pitching/Intonation
GreenI have always been good at hearing the music and understanding where I need to pitch my notes. I am always able to follow the notes on a piano scale with my vocals.
Singing: Breath Control
AmberThis is something I have recently been focusing on. I have taught myself to breathe properly from my diaphragm, instead of taking the breath from the throat alone.
Singing: InterpretationGreenI am good at understanding what is expected of me when performing different characters. I do prior research before singing, which really sets me up with a background of the character.
Singing: Pronunciation/Diction
GreenI am well spoken, I naturally have a RP accent which I feel comes through when I am singing. When it comes to putting on an accent when singing, I ensure I can do the accent when speaking before I attempt singing. This really allows me to pronounce all the sounds before I add the element of singing to them.
Singing: Vocal RangeGreenMy vocal range has rapidly increased over the past two years. I have been singing almost everyday and have had the occasional lessons. Also learning how to use my breathe has really helped me bring out my higher notes, helping me belt them rather than shy away from them.
Dance: Movement Memory
GreenI am always good at remembering movement, if it is for a dance lesson or even the blocking for a musical/ scene. I pick up movement quickly, I naturally remember all of the steps and after, can use the rest of my time to interpret them, adding dynamics and my own twists to them.
Dance: Musicality
GreenI can always feel the music when I am dancing. I fins it easy to put movement to music. I naturally have rhythm and can easily tell when movements follow the music.
Dance: Flexibility
Amber
Over the past 6 months, my flexibility has decreased as I have let my training slit recently as I have been foucing on the theory work heavily behind my a levels. I need to start doing my stretches each day to re gain my flexibility. I need to get my splits back. I will also do some back stretches to improve my back muscles.

Dance: ExtensionGreenI always make sure my legs and arms are extended where appropriate when dancing. I feel as though this really completes the movement, making it look professional and polished.
Dance: Posture and AlignmentAmber
This is something that I feel as though I definitely have room to improve with. For example when I am in my ballet classes, I sometimes catch myself in the mirror, sticking my gluts out and arching my back. This is incorrect technique and need to get into the habit of 'pulling up' the body, tucking my stomach and gluts in solidly.
Dance: Strength
RedI am not very strong in my arms and this sometimes hinders me from performing floor work with the use of arms, to my full potential. I will make sure that I train with more weights in the jump over the next few months, to ensure I build my muscle up so I am able to perform these movements in future.
Dance: Stamina
AmberRecently I have been developing my stamina levels by running on the treadmill in the gym. each sessions, I increase the speed and time slightly. By the end of this training period, I should be able to find a time and speed which I can maintain and work with, going back to it each time I go to the gym. This will hopefully keep my stamina at a maintainable standard.
Overall Performance: Confidence
GreenConfidence is always something I have been good with. I always believe in myself and put my full energy and effort into everything I do. This way, I never think with a negative attitude, allowing me to be open minded and able to take constructive criticism about my performance at any point.
Overall Performance
GreenAs a general average, I feel as though I am a strong performer as I am a confident person, which I bring to every performance I do. As long as I do not give up and have done my best, I am happy. there are always things I could be improving with whilst performing however I feel as though I always commit to my work and do well with this, equalling the green to end this audit.

Organisational skills audit

Organisation skills
Level of competence
Where and how I have developed this?
Replying to emails
Amber
I have easy access to my email account becuase I have them linked to my phone and iPad which I use daily. I am notified when emails are sent to my mailbox however I could be more effecient when replying. I often read the email and leave replying until a later date as I feel I need time to think about my reply. I need to get into the habbit of replying as soon as I have recieved them.
Time management
Amber
I am able to manage my time reasonably well when I am under pressure to do so. By this, I mean when I know I have a deadline to meet, I will do everything in my power to manage my time well, setting a timetable of work I need to complete. To bring this up to a green, I need to ensure I am able to complete my work, without deadlines behind me, pushing me forward.
Organising myself within other people
Green
I feel as though I am a strong at working with people as I am definitely a people person. I am able to work with groups of people, in a leadership role and as a team player. For example in lessons I take directon well from others and I am also able to lead groups, especially in dance lessons. I feel confident teachng movements to my classmates if they need my help however I know when to take a step back and listen instead of teach.
Self discipline
Amber
I feel as though I am able to work well towards my personal goals and achieve these in a reasonable amount of time. However it sometimes takes me a while to motivate myself to start the process of achieving my goals; this is why I am not quite at a green here.
Motivation
Amber
I am well able to come up with work and commitments plans for myself however I do sometimes find it diffiuclt to religiously stick to them. I find I am distracted easily on occasion however I do really try and channel my brian into focusing on staying motivated.
Avoiding procrastination
Amber
This links to my last point, as I mentioned that I do find distractions when I am struggling to motivate myself to start some work. However I feel as though most of the time I can over come procrastination well. I just need to ensure I am have enough self dicipline to ignore any distractions, to take me up to a green for this area.
Commitment
Green
I am solid on commitment; if I make an agreement that I will be involved in any extra curicular activities, I will go out of my way to ensure I turn up to every rehearsal with out fail.
Self awareness
Green
I feel as though I am fully aware of myself and what I am capable of producing. I know where my limits are, both physically and mentally however I am always open to pushing myself to the limit, to improve myself as a performer.
Finding solutions to problems
Green
I am really good at finding fair and reasonable solutions to problems, both with myself and its others. For example, I am good at compromising and finding the middle ground with situations which I feel is one of my strengths.
Acting on solutions to problems
Amber/green
I find myself determined to improve where ever possible and when a solution has been found, I am good at acting on this and helping others through this process. I am good at advising people on how to act in situations and feel as though I can deal with solving issues well and with a level head.
Prioritising
Green
I am good at prioritising my work load well. I know that if I have a piece of work which is deadlined in, I will do this before continuing with general homework and line learning. Whatever is the nearest upcoming project, this is what I will ensure I focus on before anything else.
Accepting responsibility
Red
I am good at accepting responsibility as I have had previous practise of being mature in my general life; I am a babysitter and a waitress which have both taught me how to manage and eat wth being responsible in a vast amount of situations. I am able to convert these skills into my performing skills.
Creating a balance
Amber
I feel as though I am slightly inconsistent with creating a balance between different jobs I have to do. Some weeks I really keep on top of balancing my work out; I am able to fit in going to college, keeping up to date with work, going to the gym and having time off . However some days I let my routine slip and this makes me fall back, behind which sets me back. I need to ensure I keep on top of the plans I create.
Meeting deadlines and demands
Green
I am reliant when it comes to meeting deadlines. I have never needed an  extension, this is good because I feel it is very important to keep on top of things and make sure they are in on time. It is unprofessional to hand in incomplete work, which is something I can say I have never done.
Keeping calendars
Green
I am good at keeping to my schedule when it comes to performing jobs. I always make sure I note down when rehearsals are in my calendar so I never miss a date. I feel as though this is something I have always been good at, which links to my strong commitment as well.
Social network
Amber
I have recently started a professional page on Instagram and Twitter which I post on regularly (Twitter, weekly and Instagram daily.) I have also started a YouTube channel which I have been using to upload vlogs of my days when I am busy, to show how much performing related projects I actually do. To improve, I need to make the time to upload weekly videos to YouTube as this is something I have unfortunately been inconsistent with. Regular uploads will bring in the audience you need to promote yourself therefore this is something I need to focus on keeping up with, alongside my college wrk and other commitments.
Self-discipline
Amber
I need to work on keeping my focus on pieces of work and making sure that when I am working, I complete the task and do not get distracted. This will help me complete the task quicker, making me more efficient and effective its my time.

Multiple intelligence test

Having taking this multiple intelligence test, it has allowed me to understand what type of learner I am, how other people learn and to gain a full understanding of how all other learning strategies.

The test indicated to me that I am strongly a linguistic and musical learner. This means that I am good with English and have a good understanding of how language works around me in daily life. This also means that I learn well when putting a rhythm to what I need to remember. I am also good at memorising songs, showing my musical side.

These results are accurate as English is one of my strong points. I find it easy to communicate with others using complex language and also understand the meaning intended behind advertisements. Also, I learn my lines better when I put them to a musical accompaniment. By this, I mean that if a text I am learning has a natural rhythm, I will definitely pick it up with more ease compared to if it is random and does not follow a pattern.

I scored average on the mathematical section. I achieved a C grade at GCSE Maths. I have never had an issue with math problems however also have never taken a huge interest in it, therefore, it is something that I do not put my full effort into, causing me not to excel in the subject matter. Saying this, I am able to solve maths problems therefore I will be fine with accounting my records when I work as an independent business being a freelance performer in the following year.

I scored the lowest marks on the gardening and nature section as I have never specifically taken an interest in environmental care as I would much rather be enjoying the arts, as shown by taking this test. This highlights to me that the test was accurate as it confirmed to me what I already knew; I am a visual learner who also learns well through music and literature. Solving equations and problems is something I am able to however do not take a huge interest in. Finally, being outdoors and taking an interest in the environment is something I have never been comfortable with as I would rather be creating new forms of art through literature and music, which explains my love for the performing arts.

My highest scoring section was interpersonal. This is something I already knew as I am a very social person and really enjoy being around others and interacting with people on all different levels. This shows through my ensemble skills within musical theatre lessons. I am able to take direction and be a part of the team and also, I am able to be a leader of the group and take control of situations by ordering team members around to ensure everything is running smoothly ad as a team, we are being as productive as possible.
